At Kezdialmas not only the religion, but also education has an important role in the life of the community. Till 1826 the village did not have its own school, the children had to go to school in Lemheny. He first generation of Almas school started its studies here in the beginning of the 19th century, and due to the enthusiasm of teacher Demeter Gyorgy a good quality education was characteristic here right from the beginning. The wooden school which was built in 1889 had a teacher’s home too and functioned for almost 120 years.

It was pulled down in 2007, in order to build a new school in its place which would reach the standards of a 21st century school. The new school will be completed in 2009 according to the plans. This will be one of the most modern schools of the region, where not only schoolbook knowledge can be learnt but also the folk traditions and customs of the place, which is inherited from generations to generations.
